Rebuilding in Love

“My husband has been working away from home for a long time. However, there were no suitable jobs near our home, he was reluctant to return, which caused me to suffer from depression. I once stood by the river planning to commit suicide, but I did not take that step. Seeing my condition worsen, my husband resolutely resigned and returned to our hometown. For a year, he accompanied me to church gatherings and helped me deal with my emotional issues. Yet, I still found no release. One day, I suddenly realized that I had learned to be thankful and was willing to attend gatherings. The family altar was restored. God is truly wondrous!”

(Sister Guo)

  • May the Lord heal Sister Guo’s heart and preserve her from falling back into depression and despair. May she find release and joy through her husband’s companionship. Heal their family, restore the power of prayer, and cause their family altar to stand firm.

Elderly Care Services

The “15th Five-Year Plan” outline proposes optimizing the supply of basic elderly care services, improving the urban-rural elderly care service network, and promoting the integration of medical and elderly care, long-term care insurance, and a care system for the disabled and those with dementia. The newly released “Opinions on Accelerating the Establishment of a Long-term Care Insurance System” proposes establishing such a system within three years. Reporters have found that rural attitudes toward elderly care remain conservative, with the concept of “working until you drop” being widespread. The phenomena of empty-nest and left-behind elderly are intensifying. Some elderly individuals and their families resist moving into care facilities due to financial pressures and fears of losing social connections.

  • May the Lord have mercy on elderly people living in rural areas and those who are left behind. Keep them safe, and cared for as their health declines. Guide the government to build better long-term care systems.

Guided by Grace

“I first discovered Radio Liangyou back in primary school. My sister happened to tune into the station by accident. Regrettably, because of my school workload, I didn’t stick with it. It wasn’t until I graduated from college and started working that I looked up Liangyou online. By following various programs, my spiritual life was nourished, which has been a great help to both my family and work, and my relationship with the Lord Jesus has grown closer and closer. When faced with the challenges of worldly values, I have learned to value things by God’s Word. Having this mindset is inseparable from the teaching I received from Radio Liangyou.”

(Brother Yang)

  • Pray that the Lord will strengthen Brother Yang’s spiritual foundation and grant him the ability to uphold the truth. Pray that the Lord will increase his desire for intimate fellowship with Jesus, and that Liangyou may continue to be his spiritual nourishment.

Rental Traps

The peak season for renting apartments runs from June to August each year. Many renters find a place they like during viewings, but realize after moving in that it is completely different from what was promised. Some apartments are plagued by severe mold—with some even growing mushrooms—while others are newly renovated but have dangerously high levels of toxic formaldehyde. Under the Civil Code, if a rental property threatens the safety or health of the tenant, the tenant has the right to break the lease, even if they knew about the issues before signing. Legal experts advise renters to always use licensed agencies and to double-check the landlord’s original ID and property certificates to make sure they are dealing with the actual owner.

(“Rule of Law Online”, June 9, 2026)

  • May the authorities establish simplified grievance channels for rentals, so tenants do not have to resort to litigation just to terminate contracts for problematic housing. May the authorities also prosecute landlords who lease toxic or hazardous properties.
