Footsteps of the Gospel

“More than 30 years ago, I believed in Jesus. After receiving theological training, I entered full-time ministry in church. Whenever I look back on those days of training, I feel a deep and unexplainable stirring in my heart. In the years that followed, I travelled across the country preaching and shepherding churches. Although there was no salary, several of us were filled with joy. More than 10 years later, I was sent by the church to pastor in another city, and we held the vision to plant churches in the city. I am willing to respond to God’s calling and offer myself to Him. Looking back on the path of my ministry, it has all been by the grace of God.”

(Brother Chan)

  • May the Lord continue to lead Brother Chan in his gospel work in different places. Though he may not be materially abundant, may he be filled with spiritual joy and satisfaction. May the Lord enable his team to remain faithful to His commission.

“Apollo Go” Halted

In the early hours of April 1, Wuhan’s emergency call center received reports that several vehicles from the “Apollo Go” autonomous ride-hailing service had stopped in the middle of the road. One netizen said that he was trapped on an elevated road for two hours. Although the car doors could be opened, he did not dare to get out on the overpass. Customer service replied that the vehicle’s driving system had malfunctioned due to network issues. In the end, the passenger was able to leave safely after traffic police and Apollo Go staff arrived. Industry insiders analyzed that the stoppage of the Apollo Go vehicles was most likely caused by an unexpected situation that triggered the system’s safety self-check mechanism.

  • Give thanks that this disruption did not lead to more serious accidents. May the relevant authorities determine the cause of the incident, hold the service provider accountable for making improvements, and re-examine whether the current safety protections for autonomous driving are sufficient.

Strengthening the Foundation

“When I was a child, I casually fiddled with an old radio at home, and by chance I tuned in to a program from Radio Liangyou. As I listened to the messages in the programs, I felt that they were quite different from what was usually preached in church. They were rich and substantial teachings about faith. During those years, listening to the programs helped me build a firm foundation in my faith. Now, through the internet, I have once again been able to listen to Liangyou, and I treasure them as if I had found a priceless gift. Once again, I experience the same sense of wonder I felt when I first heard them. I thank God for continually leading me.”

(Brother Chu)

  • May the Lord shepherd Brother Chu, so that through Liangyou his spiritual life may be nourished, his foundation in faith may be strengthened, and his spiritual life may continue to grow.

Social Security Card Scam

Recently, an elderly woman in her eighties received a call claiming to be a staff member of the “Hangzhou Social Security Bureau.” The caller told her that she had two medical insurance cards under her name and that she needed to cooperate in cancelling one of them. Under the caller’s guidance, she then downloaded a remote-control app and enabled the necessary permissions. Once the scammer obtained authorization, he immediately began transferring funds out of her account. After anti-fraud officers detected suspicious transactions, they quickly arrived at the woman’s home and cut off her phone’s internet connection. Afterwards, the Public Security Bureau stated that once a new social security card has been applied for and activated, the old card will automatically become invalid.

  • May the Lord provide more resources for community care, so that elderly people will have accessible help. May the authorities exercise greater care and foresight in handling public livelihood matters, so that loopholes will not be left open for fraudsters.

Gospel Broadcasting

  1. AI Integration: To keep pace with the times, Radio Liangyou plans to integrate AI tools into our program management system this year to enhance promotion and curation. Please remember the efforts of our staff and partners.
  2. New LTS Courses: Beginning in March, the new LTS program *The Voice of the Times* has been broadcast, featuring multiple people whose lives have brought changes to the church and to mission work. This would help serving workers reflect on their faith and service. In May, the re-produced program *New Believer Discipleship* will also be broadcast, helping church pastors build a strategic plan for new believers and new life.
