Trusting in the Lord
“Abandoned by my birth mother since childhood, I learned to please my foster mother in order to survive. Life seemed hopeless as I was treated like a servant by my foster mother. Until I believed in the Lord Jesus, my life was completely transformed, and I found hope. God prepared for me a husband who loves me dearly; my son, who is under God’s grace, has also grown up, married, and has children. Just when I thought the bitter had turned to sweet, I was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer. Many were saddened and shocked by this news, but I know that my life is in the Lord’s hands. In the hospital, I always wear a smile and give thanks amidst the challenges I face. I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds tomorrow.”
(Sister Weng)
- Sister Weng has experienced the difficulties of life, yet she has hope and strength in God. Her trials have not taken away her joy, but have become an opportunity for her to witness God’s grace and companionship. Let us pray for God’s healing and mercy upon her.
Beware of AI Fraud
Uploading a static photo can generate fake videos, and recording just a few seconds of a voice can replicate someone’s speech – this isn’t science fiction, but a real threat. “AI face-swapping” scams are becoming a major legal and ethical challenge. Compared to traditional cyber fraud, these AI-driven schemes target a broader range of victims, are more deceptive, harder to trace, and increasingly difficult to investigate. Authorities must enhance their expertise to combat these crimes. The public must stay vigilant and protect their personal data.

- Let us pray for wisdom for law enforcement and policymakers to strengthen monitoring of AI fraud, develop innovative investigative methods, and promote anti-scam awareness in schools, communities, and workplaces.
Using Gifts Well
“I’ve been listening to Radio Liangyou for over 30 years. Your programs have been my source of spiritual growth, teaching me many life-changing lessons. A pastor encouraged me to pursue theological studies, and though I initially thought I was called to preach, I discovered my gift was in music. Different church choirs invited me to teach music theory, and through this, the Holy Spirit led me to establish a music school. Over the past 20 years, the school has equipped hundreds of brothers and sisters who are now serving as key members in their churches. I am grateful to God and the Radio for the resources that shaped me.”
(Brother Wang)
- Brother Wang has faithfully served the Lord by stewarding his gifts. May God continue to guide him and his music school, raising up more believers for ministry.
Internet Addiction Among Seniors
The news about an elderly person developing severe myopia of 23.0 diopters from excessive smartphone use has sparked discussions, and many are concerned about internet addiction among the elderly. Short videos are user-friendly, and going online has become a way for some elderly people living alone to pass time. Some have helped their elderly parents manage their internet use through methods like scheduled disconnection and enabling “youth modes”. Experts suggest platforms develop “senior modes” and promote healthier, more positive content. Meanwhile, society should provide the elderly with more diverse and meaningful group activities to better meet their spiritual and life needs.
(“Workers’ Daily”, April 5, 2025)
-
May the Lord enable young people to care for the elderly and pay attention to the elderly’s use of digital platforms. May the relevant departments formulate guidelines to regulate the duration and content of platforms’ services, preventing the elderly from becoming addicted to the internet and suffering losses from misinformation.
Gospel Broadcasting
- You Music Channel: Radio Liangyou launched a 24-hour streaming platform named “You Music Channel” at last year’s end. Christian hymns and music are played randomly together with Bible verses as a source of comfort for listeners. Thank various Christian bands for their support allowing us to use their music for free.
- Short Wave Broadcasting: The International Short Wave League organizes meetings regularly in February every year to discuss the co-ordination of the use of shortwave channels. Adjustments were made as necessary at the end of March. Some radio frequency bands of Radio Liangyou were changed accordingly. May God use the new frequencies so that more listeners can be reached.
