“Do children understand when the Gospel are shared with them?” They get to know Jesus by listening to radio broadcast programs. They learn how to pray and communicate with God. Their sharing is simple yet comprehensive, highlighting the importance of Jesus’ words, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
Entire Family Saved
Aged about 6 or 7, I started to listen to hymns and Bible stories of children programs on the radio. I liked the programs and asked father to continue to play for me. Then father also listened to Our Daily Bread, and gradually led us to worship God, read the Bible and pray. I grew up listening to the radio programs. At the time going to university, I was deeply affected by many different program hosts. The religion has been passed on. Our entire family feels so grateful to all of you for what you have done. Learn while Listening
I listened to Radio Liangyou while doing homework every night, and learnt how to pray. Prayer is amazing. God listened to my prayers and gave me help. I heard a voice in my heart telling me what I may do and what I may not. Finally I followed the host to pray a salvation prayer to become a follower of Jesus Christ. (Audience Li)
Life is a Journey
Mother was suffering from hemiplegia and professed her faith in God when she was small. I followed her to the neighbor to join gatherings listening to sermons and singing hymns. There was a radio at my home, and I accidentally listened to the programs of Radio Liangyou about reading and explanation of the Bible. Then mother bought a Bible. It was weird that I could read Traditional Chinese characters in the Bible. The verses I had heard on the radio would come up to my mind immediately when coming across characters I did not recognize. Thank God for His grace and amazing guidance. During my junior secondary school, I always rode a bicycle alone and went to the church dozens of miles away to join gatherings on Saturdays and Sundays. In a year after some time, I determined to follow Jesus and got baptized. Thank God for His gifts, compassion and amazing guidance and walking through the journey to the cross with me. I know God is with me and am guided by the Holy Spirit. Thank God for not leaving me alone. I once collapsed because of my weaknesses and walked away from God. But, God always loves me and forgives my sins, and makes me turn back to Him. I believe in God, the only God who loves me with His compassion. Whatever happens and wherever I am, I will follow the Lord until He comes back.” (Audience Grace)
