Victory in the Lord
“A medical accident left my movements uncoordinated and plunged me into depression. When I was at the end of my strength, someone shared the Gospel with me. I thank the Lord Jesus for choosing me. The moment I entered the church, I felt surrounded by warmth and God’s love. Gradually, my condition improved. Bitterness and resentment gave way to joy; pride was replaced by gentleness and humility. Through a discipleship course, I came to know God more deeply. He has transformed my life completely. Though my outward appearance remains frail, He has given me strong communication and analytical gifts that bring success at work. Praise God for His great love.”

AI Facade
Recently, some netizens reported that some restaurants on delivery apps were using fake “AI-enhanced” storefront photos. Consumers were caught off guard. Listings showed spacious dining rooms with bright signs and crowds, but the actual locations were tiny street kitchens. Reporters found that online vendors offer custom AI-generated “storefront design” images for as little as RMB 10, allowing eateries to post fake photos easily to mislead customers.

- May food delivery platforms improve restaurant verification, combining technology that identifies AI-edited images with on-site inspections. May regulators ensure accountability of delivery platforms to safeguard consumers’ rights.
Shifting Focus
“Going to church used to be difficult for me. As a single woman surrounded by couples, I always felt left out and overlooked. But in my lowest moments, God showed me my sin and let me experience His love. I realized how shallowly I had known Him—I used to see God through my circumstances instead of trusting that He is sovereign over them. After two years of adjustment and biblical counseling, God healed my heart and I have recovered from a broken life. Now, I no longer worry about what people think about me. My desire for human approval has been replaced by a hunger for God alone. I thank Him for setting me free and now I long to serve others in church.”

Illegal Expedition
On October 5, authorities in Gansu responded to an emergency report: a number of mountain climbers had illegally entered the Lenglongling region of the Qilian Mountains and got stranded in an alpine region near Laohugou in Menyuan County. The unmarked route sits above 4,000 meters, posing extreme danger due to unpredictable weather and complex terrain. Some climbers carried unsuitable gear for high altitude and icy weather. Rescuers faced challenges due to rain and snow with some areas inaccessible by vehicles, requiring difficult on-foot rescue efforts. By noon on the 7th, both the north and south rescue teams finally met and the rescue was completed. Of the 251 rescued, one person died from altitude sickness and hypothermia.
