Be Patient and Wait
“Learning that my husband had an affair, I was in great anguish yet prayed and cried every day. Without an outlet to express my emotions, I even thought about killing him. Then sisters from the church accompanied me, encouraged me and comforted me. I gradually came to realize that marital problems were rarely the fault of a single person. Before the Lord Jesus, I resolved to endure, repent and support my husband, entrusting our family to His governance. I have not stopped longing for God. My husband has changed gradually. Though the affair is ongoing, my husband is willing to go to church with me. We sing hymns together in church and at home. My husband said he wanted to repent and believe in Jesus. All my suffering is worthwhile.”
(Sister Su)
- God has granted Sister Su a forgiving heart. Her efforts will not be in vain in the Lord. May God move her husband to cut all contact with the affair partner and nurture their family with devotion.
Godly Discretion
“My mother is the third generation Christian in her family. Her ancestors became Christians because of the contribution of missionaries in China. But I walked away from the religion gradually after starting school and stopped believing in God after graduation. Then a sister visited my mother and gave me a booklet. After reading just four pages, I was made to open my heart to Jesus realizing my ignorance and superficiality. Under God’s guidance, I had been growing in faith and entered a theological college for training. Without the Holy Spirit, who acted in my life, even reading the entire Bible or witnessing miraculous healing would not make me believe in God. I am now a full-time pastor in the church and collaborate with some organizations in the field of hymns. Thank God for using me.”
(Brother Liu)
- The Lord preserved the life of Brother Liu who has become His faithful servant. He knows, deep down, that all this is God transforming his heart with His wondrous grace. May God continue to use Brother Liu enabling him to serve Him better.
