It was only after God transformed my life that I understood He had always been using circumstances to bring me back. Now my relationship with my son has improved. He is willing to talk to me. More importantly, my husband has changed a lot and leads prayer every Sunday.”

Illegal Food Delivery Brokers
Shanghai police cracked a case involving the forgery of online food service licenses, dismantling an illicit supply chain involving business recruitment and setup, license processing and profit-making. Nine suspects were arrested. The modus operandi was mainly composed of three factors: First, “Multiple stores with one single address,” where some merchants operated only one physical store but sought to illegally open multiple online food-delivery stores; second, “Operating without a physical address,” where the gang targeted closed or offline-only stores to steal their business license information; and third, “License tampering,” where the gang used photo-editing software to alter the business scope for merchants lacking proper qualifications.

- May the authorities tighten oversight of food-delivery platforms, and verify the licensing credentials of restaurants. Pray for a stronger sense of law-abiding awareness that falsifying credentials is not treated as commonplace.
Care for Parents
“A few years ago, my father was ill, and I was forced to quit my job and return to my hometown. Honoring parents is a biblical teaching. I wouldn’t say I did it for the sake of blessings, because caring for my sick father was simply my duty. Caring for a patient long-term made me anxious. Before long, the pandemic broke out. Our small community adapted quite well. My younger sister said that it was my earthly father who had saved me from this pandemic. But I knew that it was my Heavenly Father who had delivered me from the outbreak. All the care I gave my parents is grace upon grace. Though my strength and faith feel small, it is wonderful to find reassurance in grace.”

Handmade Cars
The “handmade car” is actually a four-wheel electric mobility scooter for the elderly. As early as 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments jointly published to impose stricter management on low-speed electric vehicles. Non-standard electric four-wheel cars have been classified as illegal. These “cars” have not undergone any safety testing. However, there is still private ordering as their affordable pricing meets the demands. Since non-standard electric four-wheel cars are banned, merchants sell the parts separately to consumers for their own “assembly”. Regulatory authorities should monitor the final destination of the components in order to stop “handmade cars” from reaching the general market.

- Theology Learning: Thanks to our staff’s efforts, there has been an overall rise in website traffic, exam registrations, the number of students receiving awards, and enrolment in the Liangyou Theological Seminary’s program. Pray that God will grant students perseverance to continue their studies.
