God Opens My Heart
“I was born blind. My mother took me to church when I was a child. At that time, believing in the Lord faced many challenges. My church’s pastor was facing severe persecution. Brothers and sisters in Christ took turns inviting him to stay at their homes for a few days. That was how the pastor had gone through those difficult times. I felt that Christians were very loving at that time. However, I did not have a deeper understanding of the Lord. It was not until last year that God opened my heart and I believed in the Lord Jesus. I truly regret that I have not accepted my Lord, who loves me, sooner! I also know that God’s timing is correct. Currently I am immersed in God’s love every day. Following Radio Liangyou, I am growing in truth spiritually.”

- Although Brother Liu cannot see, God understands the hardships he has encountered. May God guide him on his journey ahead so that he can live out his life with love and influence those people around.
Suffering Heatstroke
An 89-year-old man in Changsha got heatstroke because he was reluctant to use an air conditioner. His body temperature soared to 42°C. Having symptoms such as confusion and heart failure, he was rushed to the hospital. Experts warn that heatstroke is fatal with a mortality rate exceeding 50%. Symptoms for the elderly are often less pronounced. Heatstroke may lead to failures of multiple organs. The three golden steps of first aid are: rapidly cooling the patient, providing him with light salted water and calling the rescue immediately. Using air conditioning appropriately, avoiding outdoor activities, and timely water replenishing are recommended to prevent heatstroke.
(“Changsha Evening News”, July 31, 2025)
- May relevant departments can actively educate citizens on how to avoid heatstroke and establish community-wide sheltering facilities for the summer. Pray that God will inspire more young people to proactively care for the health of the elderly nearby.
God Loves Khampas
A summer camp was held in a village populated by the Khampas. The camp has brought love and care to the local youth. Missionaries have been working hard among the Khampas for a long period, laying the foundation for the spread of faith. In 2002, a letter reported on a ministry which was being carried out with a low profile and was very fruitful: “Over 90 young people have heard the gospel for the first time. Pray for the young believers’ endurance. In a city, several people have just accepted Christ; in a town, a young girl stands firm in her faith alone; in the same place, an elderly man has heard the gospel.” Today, these evangelical efforts still continue.
- The Khampas have approximately a total population of 1.2 million which is primarily distributed in western China. The proportion of believers is probably less than one percent. Pray for the gospel messengers who quietly bear witness in this ethnic group. Also pray that the Lord will use their lives and testimonies to bring the Khampas back into the fold.
Gospel Broadcasting
- 76th Anniversary of Radio Liangyou: In the morning of July 29, our staff gathered and reviewed the founding history of the ministry. We examined the efforts and perseverance of our predecessors who ultimately yielded a harvest and bore fruit for the Lord amid difficulties. In the evening, we had a 2.5-hour live program. Our “fruit”, our audience, bored by Radio Liangyou participated together in the program, including hymn singing, bible reading, restating of the history and sharing of testimonies.
- Planning and Budgeting for 2026: Ask the Lord to grant wisdom to various department heads so that they can comprehensively plan our organization’s ministry for the next year in accordance with the actual needs and estimates of the ministry development. Also pray that the Lord will give us the confidence to rely on the His provision so that the gospel broadcasting ministry will lack nothing to develop continuously.
