Turning Over a New Leaf
“At the age of just over ten, I suffered from depression, experiencing immense pain and feeling utterly helpless. I lost touch with my family and friends. While repeatedly thinking about suicide, I reminded myself that such an act would displease God and make my family suffer. Feeling trapped in my life, I tried to hold on to God thinking that He is omniscient and omnipotent and would not abandon me. I forced myself to read the Bible, even I didn’t understand. I prayed aloud, and I was feeling better. My heart, which had been like a stagnant pond, was touched by God. I have found hope and goal for my life. I then enrolled in a clinical medicine program. Now I am moving ahead relying on God in every aspect of life. Thank my Lord for a significant change in my life.”

- God has turned Brother Jiang’s worries into blessings for his life, miraculously turned his life around and given him hope. God will surely make all grace abound to him.
Drug Pricing Fraud
Many people have encountered “drug pricing fraud” when purchasing medicines at designated pharmacies under the medical insurance scheme. They are told a cheaper price, but the price will be higher when paid through the medical insurance scheme. When people buy medicines through health insurance, the funds need to be transferred from their personal accounts to the system, and then to the pharmacy only at the time of periodic settlement. Pharmacies are required to pay a verifying fee of 2-3%. Some pharmacies will transfer this cost onto the individuals. This will constitute a suspicious pricing practice, disruption to the market order, an infringement on the rights and interests of the insured, and insurance fraud.

- Pray that the health insurance authorities will strengthen the management of retail pharmacies, and that the public will have heightened awareness of their rights and familiarize with the policy.
Training for the Miao
A number of Big Flowery Miao preachers have taken up the pastoral care and teaching duty to serve their people. Because of their limited financial conditions, they have to work as farmers to earn their living. They are even forced to stop their services at church during busy planting and harvest times to support their family livelihoods. Some pastors have devoted themselves to Bible teaching and working with others to organize audio Bible courses for teaching believers to study the truth of the Bible. However, there is a slowdown in ministry or the ministry even has to stop during the harvest period.
- Pray for the Big Flowery Miao Church for their spiritual growth. Pastors have to temporarily leave their congregation to make a living. May God be gracious to the Miao churches, providing for the needs of the pastors and freeing them from worldly affairs. Pray that the pastors can look to the Lord for provision. Also pray for the completion of the production of the Bible courses as planned for the benefits of believers’ spiritual life.
Gospel Broadcasting
- Program Innovation: Pray for the innovation and changes in our program production. Some of the programs have been gradually updated and adjusted. Moreover, colleagues have begun planning new programs for the future. Pray for their divine inspiration and insight, as well as down-to-earth creativity and design to produce programs that showcase vitality and a sense of life and bless the audience.
- Meeting with Audience: Our staff are grateful for having the opportunity to meet with our audience and share with them. Pray for their determination to pursue the truth and learn to become ambassadors for Christ. May more people come to know about the work of Liangyou Theological Seminary to bless the lives of believers.
