Sold Out in Seconds
Sluggish operation of or tickets being sold out in seconds on the ticketing system for scenic spots have been probably caused by illegal scalper groups. Beijing police detected an overwhelming surge of malicious network requests at the moment tickets go on sale. This case involved a cross-regional, multi-stage and full-chain technical ticket-scalping criminal syndicate engaged in the formulation of ticket-scalping programs and the online promotion of resale. The police launched simultaneous arrest operations across five provinces and municipalities, apprehending ten suspects. The public was reminded to make bookings via official platforms, and should not trust online advertisements offering paid ticket-booking services, so as to protect themselves from financial fraud and information leakage.

Protection at All Times
“A person with disabilities, I rely on an electric wheelchair to go out. It is quite risky for a person like me being on a busy road with cars moving quickly. I pray to ask God to keep me safe every time going out. Some time ago, I was waiting at a crossroad for a green light when a car suddenly turned and overturned in front of me and hit the iron bar of the left foot rest on my wheelchair. I didn’t even have time to react. Had the car overturned just a little earlier, it might have crushed me completely. The car miraculously tipped over not far in front of me. Thank God for keeping me unharmed. God protects me at all times and His love always stays with me.”

Review Spamming
Customer reviews indicate rankings on food review apps are becoming increasingly unreliable. Quite a number of highly-recommended operators are suspected of inflating their business reputation by purchasing fake positive reviews. Beside fake positive reviews, there are also malicious negative reviews. Investigation has revealed that these spamming services operate openly across e-commerce networks with standardized pricing tiers. They are named “professional negative reviewers”. Experts advise that consumers should assess the authenticity of reviews by considering a basket of factors, including the posting time, repetitive content, reviewer history, authentic photo verification and proof of purchase. Cross-referencing such as validated business credentials, regulatory information and reputation across multiple channels is also worth it.
