Life Journey

“A few years ago, God chose me to serve Him in church. The challenges I encountered urged me to develop a strong theological foundation. Recommended by a pastor, I enrolled in Liangyou Theological Seminary. Although worrying about my background, I firmly believed in God’s guidance. The learning process was full of challenges. Thank teachers for their patient guidance, my grades improved. Being immersed in the passions for learning, I discovered I had late-stage cancer. Life or death no longer matters to me. As long as I have breath, I will shine in the Lord. Facing the reality of limited time, I eager to learn more. I will keep running the Christian race and preach the gospel.”

(Brother Li)

  • May God comfort and heal Brother Li, granting him hope and strength, and also grant him courage to keep his passions for the Word of God, and seize every opportunity to preach the Gospel.

Mosquito-Free Park

Beijing has launched its first “Mosquito-free Park” pilot project. Smart mosquito-killing devices have been installed. The devices will release a specially formulated mosquito-attracting gas, combined with a constant-temperature heat source and a light spectrum that mimics human body odor. Mosquitoes will be sucked into a collection box. Currently, 2,000 to 3,000 mosquitoes can be caught per day. Nine harm-free, solar-powered mosquito lamps have also been deployed in the parks. The Administration Center of Parks will step up source control to reduce mosquito breeding grounds by regularly cleaning out rainwater wells, drainage ditches, and marshland landscapes, pruning greenery and thinning out understory vegetation, striving to comprehensively improve the overall quality of the parks.

  • May the trapping methods will effectively reduce the nuisance caused by mosquitoes and protect public health, yet will not eliminate them completely thereby disrupting the natural food chain.

Pray for Guidance

“My husband and I had been living with my parents. The Bible says a man should leave his parents and be united with his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. My husband and I prayed together, seeking God’s guidance to rent a place ourselves. We were very happy to move out. My husband worked in another city, and I took care of our three daughters. One day, my husband returned and told me to pray for him as the furniture factory would be relocated to the south. We had been praying for half a month. Then, my older brother, who makes pastries in our hometown, told us to go back and learn to makes pastries. Feeling exceptionally grateful, I know God has answered our prayers.”

(Sister Wang)

  • May God strengthen sister Wang and her husband’s faith, and prepare their work and provision after the move. Pray that God keep their three daughters safe in school and in their daily lives.

Sewage Discharge

China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the State Administration for Market Regulation have jointly released the Water Pollutant Discharge Standards for the Textile Industry to comprehensively regulate water pollutant discharge control requirements for the textile industry. Previous standards covered only four sectors—textile dyeing and finishing, hemp spinning, wool spinning and silk reeling. The new standards expand the scope to applicable industries, such as chemical fiber weaving and industrial textile manufacturing. At the same time, the standards strengthen environmental risk prevention and control, refine the benchmark sewage volume allowed per unit of product, and enhance the regulatory control. It also refines the requirements for managing indirect discharge.

  • May the authorities step up strict enforcement to effectively crack down on illegal sewage discharge and accelerate the relocation of urban factories to industrial parks for centralized sewage treatment.

Gospel Broadcasting

  1. Network Disruptions: Recently, access to various Radio Liangyou and Liangyou Theological Seminary platforms and program links has been down. Pray that the Lord makes a way for our listeners and keeps them strong in Him. The App we are developing is now in its final testing phase; pray for a smooth launch and that it will run flawlessly so listeners can tune in with ease.
  2. Fruitful Meetings: A series of meetings took place in July, including the FEBC International Leadership Training, the Chinese Ministry AI Application Symposium, and the Chinese Program Directors’ Meeting. May the Lord use the fruits of these discussions to drive our ministry forward, so more people can experience the blessings of the Gospel.
