Blended Family

“My wife and I are in a blended family. We’ve had some conflicts in the year or so since we got married, mainly concerning the relationship between our daughter and her stepmother. Their conflicts have been irreconcilable. My wife wanted our daughter to leave home or she’ll divorce. I sought mediation from my pastor, but it didn’t help much. Later, I contacted Radio Liangyou. The host advised me to understand my wife better. She also carefully analyzed my attitude towards my child, and I realized I had indeed spoiled her. I hadn’t treated my wife as my closest person, and I needed to teach my child to respect her. I’m willing to change and manage my marriage in Christ. Thank you Liangyou for your help.”

(Brother Gu)

  • May the Lord grant Brother Gu wisdom and patience to help him improve his relationship with his wife and daughter. Thank the Lord for making him realize his coddling towards his daughter; may God guide him to build a harmonious family atmosphere in Christ.

AI Flattery

Recently, discussions about “AI flattery” have surged. Some praise AI’s gentle narration and praising interaction; others are uncomfortable with this expression, believing that excessive flattery and pandering to users can affect their own judgment. The report points out that many AI chat products were designed from the outset with the goal of “extending user engagement.” To achieve this, AI constantly analyzes the user’s tone, tending to provide “comfortable” responses. Experts believe that it is crucial to help the public retain necessary skepticism and reflective abilities when using AI, avoiding the unconscious surrender of judgment to the technological system in long-term interactions.

  • Pray that relevant departments can strengthen public education, reminding the public not to over-rely on AI. Also pray that AI technology can shift from “catering and optimizing” to “judgment correction,” reducing insincere flattering responses.

Hui Muslims’ Conversion

The Hui people are mostly engaged in commerce, with significant wealth disparities. They value customs and traditions, living in close proximity to mosques and often going to prayer in groups on Fridays. Many recite the Quran, but few truly understand it. A Hui Christian from the Northwest region shared guidance for gospeling them, suggesting not to interfere with their customs, acknowledging their “God” as the Creator, but comparing the Bible and the Quran, Jesus and Muhammad to help them understand the truth, identifying deviations in their faith, and guiding them on the truth. However, because they possess a sense of superiority, it is neither advisable nor necessary to debate with them.

  • The Hui people are scattered, numbering over ten million. May Christ’s salvation come upon them. Pray that the Lord will use the newly completed, small flash memory card rich in content, so that more Hui people may come to know Christ’s redemptive love.

Gospel Broadcasting

  1. Website Listening: Despite difficulties with the radio station’s website platform in the latter half of last year, the number of downloads for on-demand programs did not decrease throughout the year, and streaming listening hours were even higher than in the past. This is a miraculous work of God, and we offer our thanks to our colleagues for their tireless efforts. We pray that the Lord will protect the smooth operation of the network so that listeners can listen to programs as needed.
  2. Bless the Chinese: Following our collaboration with Far East Indonesia (a.k.a. YASKI), since January of this year, DZAS Radio in the Philippines has added a one-hour Hokkien worship program to its existing Mandarin broadcasts to serve the Hokkien-speaking Chinese community in Manila, Philippines. Please remember the production and broadcast of this program.
