A Life of Piety

“My mother has been a believer for over 30 years. Although illiterate, she serves in the church choir and can understand the Bible. Her longing for God influences me, especially as she kneels daily to pray for nations, the church, our countrymen, and unsaved relatives. Her prayer sessions are quite long; while I’m praying in the morning at home, she’s already praying on the couch. Her knees have deformed from kneeling in prayer, but God has truly cared for her; she can walk normally and go up and down stairs. Despite persecution for evangelizing, she never backs down, going out daily to share the Gospel, saying that saving souls can’t wait.”

(Sister Dong)

  • The life testimony of Sister Dong’s mother is deeply moving. When an elderly sister is willing to work for the Lord, the Lord will become her peace and protection, and her spirit, soul, and body will also be preserved in the Lord.

Auction Fraud

As the cultural relic market heats up, some unscrupulous individuals have seized the opportunity to weave a web of fraud under the guise of “cultural relic auctions.” These organizations create online shopping platforms to sell low-quality cultural relics as “props,” profiting through repeated transactions among members. As the number of members grows, the prices of these items soar. However, these high-priced products lack genuine market demand and circulate only within the closed network of fraud. When the influx of new members slows down and the funding chain breaks, the platform collapses, leaving many members at a loss.

(“Legal Daily”, January 8, 2025)

  • The development of technology and the internet has indeed brought many conveniences to life, but it has also led to numerous cybercrimes. We pray that the relevant authorities strengthen the regulation of harmful sales platforms to prevent citizens from falling into traps.

Parent-Child Relationships

“My son is in his teenage years, and I noticed he has been with a female classmate on the way to school and back. I suspected they were in a romantic relationship, but he denied it, claiming they were just friends. I struggled to believe him and found it challenging to communicate with him, so I reached out to Radio Liangyou. The host taught me to trust my son and to avoid lecturing him, instead recognizing his perspective and attempting to guide him. After spending time together, our relationship has improved, for which I am very grateful. I pray that God continues to help me, realizing that I must first change myself. Listening to the radio program has prompted me to reflect on this.”

(Sister Xu)

  • We are thankful that Sister Xu found a way to resolve her struggles and came to understand her need for self-reflection. May God be the head of this family, guiding them to experience His miraculous leadership and become a beautiful testimony.

Hoarding Medicine

According to the latest data from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the positivity rate for influenza viruses is rising, with over 99% being influenza A. During flu season, the demand for antiviral medications surges, leading to frequent shortages in pharmacies. Many people are stockpiling medications like “Baloxavir” for flu prevention, even though these are prescription drugs that must be used under medical supervision. Hoarding not only deprives patients in need but also risks misuse, potentially delaying proper treatment.

(“China National Radio Web”, January 7, 2025)

  • May the Lord protect all those affected by the flu, granting them calmness amidst the outbreak. We pray that people refrain from hoarding medications, avoiding unnecessary panic. May healthcare workers receive strength, wisdom, and patience as they serve, and may communities support one another through these challenging times.

Gospel Broadcasting

  1. Overseas Chinese: Radio Liangyou is striving to serve overseas Chinese and has co-operated with the FEBC team in different regions preaching the gospel to and cultivating Chinese diaspora across the world for God. FEBC Indonesia has started the broadcasts in Chinese language through its four channels and the web platform since January. May God use the programs to bless the local Chinese.
  2. Church Calendar Devotion: Grateful that God has built the life of brothers and sisters from 60+ local and overseas churches and fellowships through “Church Calendar Devotion”, helping them to establish a “Christ-centered” spiritual life together. It is hoped that more brothers and sisters will join the journey of Lent which will start in March.
