Amazing Grace
“More than a decade ago when I was a theological student, I was robbed one night by four young men who stabbed me several times. On the operating table, I called out to God to save me if I could become a vessel fit for the Lord’s use. I would rather rest in the Lord otherwise. God healed me so miraculously that even the doctor said it was a miracle. Then the four teenagers were arrested, and the oldest was only 17 years old. I told the judge in court that I was a Christian and did not want their lives to be ruined. Having no hatred for them, I hoped they would get a lenient sentence. After this incident, I have become very committed to youth ministry. I have established fellowships in different churches. We must believe that God will use us in a special way for the rest of our lives after going through the storm.”

Recruitment Scams
Many graduates look forward to finding a stable job with good benefits. Criminals have seized the chance to cheat the anxious graduates and parents by setting a trap of “looking for a job”. Gansu police in Lanzhou recently uncovered a mega scam in employing university graduates through fake central state-owned enterprises and party and government institutions. The lawbreakers claimed to have a relationship with business units and special job offers can be given to the graduates. Physical examination, training, examination and contract-signing were arranged to convince the graduates to believe them and keep paying the intermediary fee. The graduates believed without doubt and only found out they had been deceived when they had never got a job.

- Pray for a change in the culture of traditional guanxi-style network-building in workplace. No one will believe in such “guanxi-style” scams if no one can get a job through network building. May the economy in China gradually improve, making it easier for graduates to find jobs.
Teaching Children
“My husband does not allow me to listen to the gospel in front of him and the children, and prevents the children from learning God’s truth. My daily prayer is for raising the kids. Thanks to the Lord that my kids and I always have the opportunity to learn and share His truth together every day. A primary 6 student, my son starts to be influenced by evolution and atheism and sometimes questions me face-to-face. Since they have learned the fundamental truths at young age, they have a sound heart in the Bible, and will accept my brief explanation when they have doubts. We are going through a massive spiritual warfare. Kids will be exposed to more and more knowledge and false doctrine in the future. All I can do is to keep praying for them.”

- May the Lord give wisdom to Sister Hao to seize the opportunity to teach her children God’s Truth. May the Lord be with them all while the children are growing up, so that they can walk in the Lord’s way and never stray from it when they are old.
Cigarette Card Games
The game of cigarette cards has recently become popular in primary schools. Cigarette cards are cigarette labels cut from the packets and folded into cardboard-sized cards. Primary students take turns to tap the cards on the ground, and the one who can flip the other’s card over wins. In order to get more cigarette cards, some children ask their parents to buy cigarettes online or even encourage their family members to smoke. Some even rummage through rubbish bins to find cigarette boxes. In the eyes of these children, the rarer the cigarette cards they have, the more dignified they look. Some parents are worried that their children’s exposure to cigarette peripherals and familiarity with cigarette brands may get the children to start behaving adversely such as smoking at an early age.

Pray that God will give wisdom to regulatory authorities, schools and parents to combat the cigarette card game through a concerted effort. May the tobacco control authorities step up enforcement and gradually change the smoking culture in China, so that children can grow up in a smoke-free environment.
Gospel Broadcasting
- Broadcasting Theme: The broadcasting theme of Radio Liangyou in 2025 is “Fasten in Christ, Fruitful in Life!”. The entire growth series has gone through growing, taking root, and trimming, and has come to the stage of “being fruitful”. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5, NIV) “Be fruitful” is the purpose of spiritual growth. The scriptures also provide the secret of being fruitful – connection to Christ.
- Festive Specials: Program teams are planning and producing Christmas and New Year specials, hoping to bring joy and blessings to listeners. Please pray that God will grant our staff wisdom and inspiration so that they can create programs with creativity and vitality based on the needs and interests of different audience groups. Also pray that they will let the audience feel the festive warmth, understand the true meaning of the festivals and experience God’s great love.
