Living Out the Mission
“I am a university student. During the summer vacation, I participated in a short-term mission trip, marking my first visit to a country where I did not speak the language. A week before the mission, we fasted and prayed, asking God for guidance and fruitful results. The local missionaries challenged us to consider think about how we could share the Gospel even without verbal communication. I shared my experiences with the children, taught them English, and played with them. Seeing the smiles on their faces deeply touched me. The love that comes from Christ, a love that sacrifices and bleeds for others, is the most powerful way to convey the Gospel. It doesn’t rely on language or wealth. Through this trip, God taught me the true meaning of love, enabled me to be a blessing to many more.”

- Brother Xie, motivated by God’s love, carried out the Great Commission and is grateful for the positive outcomes of the mission trip. May God continue to lead his path and use him as a vessel for His work.
Negotiated Medications
Recently, the State Council Information Office announced that since the establishment of the Medical Insurance Bureau six years ago, negotiated medication prices have benefited 7.2 billion insured patients, including price reductions and reimbursements. The “Medical Insurance Medication Catalog” includes medications that can be reimbursed by medical insurance funds, mainly consisting of Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and Chinese herbal medicine. The catalog is updated annually to include new medications that meet the requirements, significantly improving the quality and quantity of medications. The management of the medical insurance medication catalog will continue to be deepened, and more innovative medications will be included.
(“China News Service”, September 10, 2024)
- May God continue to lead and improve the quality and safety of medications, allowing more people to receive proper treatment. May God grant wisdom to all participants to ensure that the medical insurance system benefits more patients and reduces medical burdens.
Caring for Children
Despite widespread flooding during the last summer, compassionate individuals organized summer camps for ethnic minority children in the mountainous regions of Yunnan, imparting to them with love and care, and moral education and Good News. Many of these minority groups reside in remote areas, with parents and youths leaving for urban jobs to improve their livelihoods, leaving young children in the care of elderly relatives. These children, often referred to as “left-behind children,” not only lack proper care but also bear the responsibility of looking after their elderly grandparents and managing heavy household chores from a young age. Some children live in dormitories during the week and return home on weekends to help with farming. They labor hard, and one wonders who will care for them and guide them towards a brighter future.
- Thank God for raising up many compassionate individuals who, despite significant pressure, courageously support these prematurely burdened children. Pray for the sustainability of their ministry, walking alongside these young ones.
Gospel Broadcasting
- 75th Anniversary Live Broadcast: We thank God for the smooth completion of our three live programs on our anniversary. During the evening’s “Thanksgiving & Testimony Sharing,” we launched the hotline, allowing listeners to share their stories with our hosts. In the program, we received 16 calls, including from listeners who have been with us for over 50 years and those who were newly introduced to us by friends. May God continue to lead Radio Liangyou, allowing our Chinese listeners to receive new life from the truth and bring blessings to themselves, others, society, and the world!
- Production Workstation: With the completion of our studio renovation, our post-production workstation has also been fully updated. Our colleagues are now adapting to the new production software, ProTools. May God help them persevere and work diligently, learning and adapting without affecting their daily work progress.
