Serving with Power
“I am serving at a gathering point for migrant workers, where brothers and sisters from other regions meet together here. Please pray for me, asking the Lord to have mercy on me. May the Lord grant me wisdom and intelligence, the gift of preaching. I want to better proclaim the gospel of Christ, and to witness the great love of our Heavenly Father. Also, please pray for the youth and children. In this internet age, many children are bound by online games. Some children are greedy, lazy, rebellious, and get into relationships in their early age. I am very anxious. There are too many temptations in this world that hinder them from coming to church and get close to God. I hope to do something for the youth, so I ask God to open a way for the church to reach them.”

Face-Swapping Crime
In the past, “face-swapping” was a plot device used in movies and TV shows, but now it has become a tool for criminals to commit crimes. Recently, in Shanghai’s Minhang district, a man wore a silicone mask to disguise himself as an old man and broke into four homes in the same community, stealing over RMB 100,000 in cash and valuables. The Minhang police quickly caught the suspect in another province and recovered all the stolen goods the next day. On many e-commerce platforms, keywords like “custom-made silicone masks” and “human skin masks” have been blocked, but searching for “masks” can still yield related products.

Glory of Gray Hair
“I’m almost 80 years old and have been a Christian for several decades. Due to my limited education, I can barely read the Bible. However, I’ve always listened to Radio Liangyou. Since my wife and I live in the mountains, the signal is still relatively strong. My children have all become Christians and live in the city, but they’re busy and don’t pursue Christ as much as I’d like. I worry about their faith and spiritual growth. Since I live far from the county town, it’s not convenient for me to attend church, making me feel my own spiritual growth rather slow, and sometimes even far from God. Radio Liangyou has been accompanying me all along, preventing me from falling behind in my walk with the Lord. I want to express my gratitude for your hard work, which has brought spiritual nourishment to many people.”

Facing NCEE
Recently, a high school graduate expressed suicidal thoughts after the release of the NCEE (a.k.a. Gaokao) results. Since the exam results released, the Beijing Psychological Aid Hotline has been flooded with calls from students all over the country, many of whom are seeking help in the middle of the night. Not only are students with low scores experiencing anxiety, confusion, and irritability, but also high-scoring students who are struggling with regret, self-blame, and depression. Some students believe that if they fail the exam, their life will be over and has no point in continuing. How to heal the psychological trauma of these students and help them overcome the post-exam blues is an important task in their life development.

May the Lord be gracious to those students who feel confused and anxious after the exams, granting them hope and guiding them to find a new direction amidst the setbacks and others’ expectations, letting them understand that the exam is just one step in the journey of their personal growth towards maturity.
Gospel Broadcasting
- 75th Anniversary Celebration: Radio Liangyou is celebrating its 75th anniversary broadcasting “Praising His Boundless Power” along with listeners. On July 29, there will be a live music concert in the afternoon with young co-workers singing songs suggested by listeners to represent Radio Liangyou. In the evening, a three-hour thanksgiving service and live-streamed program will allow listeners to participate and give thanks together. Pray that the arrangements for that day will be blessed and proceed smoothly.
- Internet Controls: Facing internet controls, co-workers will cautiously assess the situation and consider gradually releasing updated information when appropriate. Ask the Lord for wisdom. Though facing difficulties, it’s encouraging to see listeners still able to access the Radio Liangyou website through various means and interact with us.
