Undaunted in Changes: Elijah was a mighty and fiery prophet, yet he had his moments of burnout. But the Lord said to him, “Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel — all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.” (1 Kings 19:18) Indeed, whether it’s in good times or bad, we can always find opportunities to share the Gospel, that we may be a beautiful witness for the Lord in any era. May the Lord be leading our steps!
God Before Us: The typhoon “Lionrock” reminds me of this city symbolized by the Lionrock mountain. This is exactly where FEBC Hong Kong has been doing the Gospel radio ministry for over 60 years — albeit operating at present in an “autumn-winter” mode. Yet we firmly trust that the future is in God’s hands. We just need to look up for His grace and expect His wonderful works! “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” (Psa. 77:11-12)
Taking the New Way: It is necessary for the ministry to step forward into the new challenges, and increased difficulties are inevitable. However, our awesome Heavenly Father has begun His amazing work in us as parts of the ministry grew stronger — a new breakthrough in putting new technologies and skills into use — with unexpected effects. For instance, beginning January of next year, LTS will be enhanced by a new self-learning app with a newly designed program for believers who want to study the Bible and grade his own achievements. “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” (Prov. 16:9) How true this verse indeed is!
